Stagecoach Theater Film Festival
Introducing a new project from Stagecoach Theater, our Short Film Festival. Intended to showcase short
films created by independent film makers, this is your opportunity to get you work shown and rated up on the
big screen in front of live general audiences!
How it works: Submit your film to us. We have set up a group on the web site YouTube.Com to handle our submission
process. Upload your film to our group, and we will review it to see if we think our audiences would enjoy
your movie. If your film passes our review, we will contact you to get a copy of your film in a format we can show
(digital, DVD (preferred), VHS, 35mm, Hi-8, and some other tape formats). Here are the details:
We're looking for short films ranging in length from 1 to 10 minutes that we can show to entertain our guests before the actual movie starts.
What's in it for you? A unique opportunity to have your film viewed on the big screen and rated by a real, live audience.
What's in it for us? A way to keep our customers entertained while waiting for the movie to start.
We're looking for entertaining movies between 1 and 10 minutes that can be shown to a general audience. Ideally something that would be rated G or PG, although PG-13s will be considered. You will need to give us the right to show your film without compensation at our theater on a schedule to be determined by us for a period of up to 6 months.
To be selected, your film will really need to have a plot (even a silly one), and some level of production value. More importantly, your film will need to be shot in a format and at a resolution that can be projected on a real movie theater screen, so clips made on camera phones are out. We can accept most formats
(digital, DVD (preferred), VHS, 35mm, Hi-8, and some other tape formats). If we love your movie but only see pixels when we blow it up to our 15' by 35' screen, well, it just won't work. You can add up to 20 seconds of promotion for yourself or your group on the end of the film, if you'd like our audience to know more about who you are and how to contact you.
If you're interested in being considered for your 15 minutes of big-screen fame, upload your video on our group at http://youtube.com/group/stagecoach for our review. If we like your movie, we'll be in contact and send you a release form, and you can send us a copy of your film in a format that is playable on our equipment.
We're in a mid-size german town in Texas, so films with a western theme, german language films, and stories that appeal to family-friendly mid-western values are going to be most likely to be screened. But if you've got something that's really entertaining, we'll consider anything.
Or, if you're in the local area, just drop by our theater, and
you can apply in person.
Look forward to seeing all your great productions!
Sincerely,
The Staff at Stagecoach Theater.
